For the control of fischery in the Curonian Lagoon there was created a special system of signs in 1844. Using this strict signing system the fisherman eventually created an original art phenomenon- the weathervanes. A weathervane was a decoration of a sailing boat and the pride of the whole family. The older children had right to repaint the sun faded parts of the weathervane. We offer You to remember the traditions and possibility to create your own picture of a weathervane.
